illustrator power

This is the few images i invented in illustrtor.

[Japan Ladies]

This took me 15min to finish. Basically a few strokes with caligraphy brush. Someone actually commented that "Art is non defined, there isn't any reason behind every piece of art." Is it true?

I was motivated to draw these ladies when i was experimenting with the caligraphy brush. Two strokes and the thing i could think of are the hairs of a japanese girl. "A few bamboos could be added in" Mig quoted.

[Hills and Trees]

This took me 2hr to finish. I wasn't really impress actually. So it proves that spending more time in defining an artistic work is like a chinese saying, "drawing legs on a snake". The idea was actually driven from a Brisbane spray paint artist. He basically used spray cans to paint and draw. I remember vividly how he create the waterfall; by adding many different colour layers of thick paint over a same area, and then using a crushed newspaper to scrub it downwards. WOW.

This "Hills and Trees" work represents a serene world of peace and harmony.
